Trees in Trouble Screened at Congressional Hearing

Filmmaker Andrea Torrice, scientists from around the country, and tree organizations are working with RISC – the Reduce Risks from Invasive Species Coalition – gathered July 14 to inform government leaders about the growing threat of invasives and the urgent need for need for policy reform. Trees in Trouble was screened as part of the congressional session.

The event was organized by RISC and included a panel discussion with scientists from the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies (NY), Michigan State University, and Harvard University, talking about their groundbreaking recent studies on how Congress and federal agencies can protect cities and the environment from these damaging pests.
